Terms of Service

1. Service Description

You Can Drive provides private driving lessons in the Brussels region, Belgium. Lessons are 2 hours long and conducted in an automatic transmission vehicle provided by the instructor, or in the student's own vehicle (manual or automatic). The instructor is Rahim Shirazee, independent driving instructor registered in Belgium.

2. Booking & Payment

All bookings are made through our website and paid via Stripe. Prices are displayed per 2-hour lesson and vary by time slot (base, evening, night, weekend). Belgian VAT (21%) is added at checkout. By completing a booking, you confirm that you hold a valid provisional or permanent driving licence and are legally permitted to take driving lessons in Belgium. A booking confirmation email with lesson details and a cancellation link will be sent to the email address provided.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Students may cancel a booking via the cancellation link in their confirmation email. Refunds are calculated based on the time remaining before the earliest scheduled lesson: • 48+ hours before the lesson: 100% refund (full) • 24–48 hours before the lesson: 50% refund • Less than 24 hours before: 30% refund If the instructor cancels a lesson, the student receives a full refund (100%) regardless of timing. Refunds are processed via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days.

4. Rescheduling

Students may reschedule a booking via the same cancellation link. Rescheduling is free of charge and does not incur any additional fees. The new lesson must be at least 24 hours in the future. The original payment is retained and applied to the rescheduled lesson.

5. Student Responsibilities

Students must: • Hold a valid Belgian provisional or permanent driving licence • Arrive on time at the agreed meeting point • Be in a fit condition to drive (no alcohol, drugs, or excessive fatigue) • Follow the instructor's directions during the lesson If a student arrives more than 15 minutes late without prior notice, the lesson may be considered as completed and no refund will be issued.

6. Instructor Responsibilities

The instructor will: • Arrive at the agreed time and location • Provide a well-maintained, insured vehicle with dual controls (when using the instructor's car) • Conduct the lesson in a professional and patient manner • Adapt the lesson content to the student's level and objectives

7. Liability

You Can Drive and the instructor are not liable for failure to pass driving tests or examinations. Lessons are educational in nature and do not guarantee any specific outcome. The instructor carries professional liability insurance. When using the instructor's vehicle, it is fully insured. When using the student's vehicle, the student must ensure their vehicle is properly insured, registered, and in safe working condition.

2. Data We Collect

When you book a lesson, we collect: • Full name • Email address • Phone number • Billing address (collected by Stripe at checkout) • Questionnaire responses (driving experience, objectives, licence type, preferred language) We do not collect sensitive personal data such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, or health data.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used for: • Processing and confirming your booking • Creating calendar events for scheduled lessons • Sending confirmation, cancellation, and reschedule emails • Generating invoices via Stripe • Preparing personalised lesson content based on your questionnaire answers We do not use your data for marketing purposes. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the booking system: • Stripe (payment processing, invoicing) — Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy • Microsoft Outlook (calendar management) — Microsoft's privacy policy: privacy.microsoft.com • Resend (transactional emails) — Resend's privacy policy: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy • Vercel (website hosting) — Vercel's privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy Each service processes only the minimum data necessary for its function.

5. Data Retention

Booking data (name, email, phone, lesson dates, questionnaire answers) is retained for 24 months after the last lesson, or as required for tax and accounting purposes under Belgian law. Stripe retains payment and invoice data according to their own retention policy and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting youcandrivebe@gmail.com.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to: • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you • Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data • Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten") • Restriction — restrict the processing of your data • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest To exercise any of these rights, email youcandrivebe@gmail.com.
